The Mars Bar
At this chameleon of corner bars, one night you may find yourself surrounded by college students shouting to be heard over blaring rap-metal; on another, you may end up quietly discussing “The Simpsons” with an investment banker. The only things that don’t change are the cheap drinks and the friendly bartenders. A fixture in Lakewood for decades, the bar still attracts generations of 20-something revelers. Small, it holds little more than the obligatory foosball table, but the beer selection is larger than most neighborhood bars. The in-demand jukebox is one of the most eclectic in town, covering everything from Sinatra and Dylan to Radiohead.
The Best Gyros in the City. Come in Thursday night for the authentic Greek pork gyro.
